I don't comment on this sight much, but I visit almost everyday. I thought you guys (and gals) might give me some educated thoughts.

My wife cannot stand to ride two up on the Savage for more than a short ride, and to tell the truth, I can't either. Therefor, I have discussed the idea of a larger, rider friendly bike. On our last ride together, we happened upon a 1985 Honda Shadow VT1100.

Since then, I have ridden the bike alone and two up. What a difference size makes!!! I could hardly tell anyone else was on the thing. This bike is completely original, one owner, 8,000 mi., and as clean as can be. I will replace both tires, but mechanically this bike is sound.

My question(s) is:
1. any experiences with this machine?
2. all the mags i've seen only show parts and accessaries for 1987's and up?
3. does $2500.00 sound fair?

By the way, I don't plan on getting rid of the "Yellow Monster". I'm hoping my wife will learn to ride and give me a reason to keep it.

Good Riding,
Kent
